Eli’s Organic Foods is the product of passion for health and nutritious organic foods. At Eli’s Organic produce farm, we believe in practicing sustainable farming that takes into context not only the quality and nutrient of the foods we grow for our well-being, but equally important, the health of soils and the biodiversity therein.
By applying a totally organic production approach, no chemicals in form of fertilizers or pest control products are used in the farming of the vegetables and berries used in making all the food items we process.
Eli’s Organic Foods farming approach is approved and certified by Kenya Organic Agriculture Network (KOAN) which the Founder and CEO is a member of.
To get communities both rural and urban to living sustainably with nature and, in this case for the brand "Eli's Organic Foods", by a) growing food that are not contaminated with chemical fertilizers and pesticides; b) inter cropping and c) conservative use of water resources by applying drip irrigation. These approaches help enhance and protect biodiversity, especially pollinators, protect and enrich the soils and provide healthy chemical free foods, protecting us from chemical related ailments such as cancer, which is on the rise in this country.
The current vision of the company expands and engages local farmers in partnerships for the fresh produce production process and leaves the company to focus on processing the end products and the marketing of these markets, thus improving local communities' socio-economic livelihoods. The ultimate vision of the company, though, is to eat healthy, reduce food waste and protect the environment in the process.
